Tremble in fear, mortals. The dark one has reclaimed his unholy cup, and shall pour out his wrath upon thee.
Translation: Carrie got me this sweet-ass cup that I can drown my sorrows in whilst you gang up on me.

Chili and cornbread shall accompany non-MTG / non-Descent gaming tomorrow. Award winning elk and chorizo chili, to be exact. The cornbread is the wildcard in this equation.
Games shall be determined by popular vote, at one or two tables as required by attendance.
Got all the stuff organized physically. Still need to get the player organization completed.
I'm going to work up a spreadsheet, and request information from interested parties:

Possible Overlord?
Based on responses, I'll try and match groups together, probably one short play and one longer.
We will be out of town this Fri-sat for various things, but will try to get something together for the weekend after.
(Emergency Magic Night)
It was determined that we needed to play Magic tomorrow night, by a majority of the CC Guild.
Hoagie pizzas to the rescue! Sides/salads will be entertain(ed/ing).
This concludes this broadcast of the EMN network.
Tuckers are back in town, it's almost like they're back from the dead!
Sooo... Zombies! We need to play zombie games.
Food selections TBA, but somebody (Jesse) needs to bring the zombies.
Wetzels are bringing kittens over to play tomorrow... of the exploding variety.
Sounds fun, and disgusting. Must be a Friday. Disclaimer: Up to 5 players, the game is fairly appropriate. Add any more, the expansion comes into play, and it is unfit for anyone to play. Measures must be taken to insulate the youth from this game, so that they will help build a brighter future.
Heading out to the store to gather supplies for the Bacon Explosions that will be the primary dish. Wetzels will provide a potato side, and we'll snag some Kit-Kats for dessert/snacks. Any other kitty or explodey themed foods are encouraged. (I thought about Sno-balls, but that is a bit of a stretch).
Festivities begin at 6, as usual. We'll be calling it a bit earlier than usual, as we have more than a full day Saturday, Art in the Park Nampa, Parma Motor-Vu, etc.
Yes, I said independent. Independence Day is Saturday, but you're on your own Friday, too.
Buck up, Descent is almost upon us.
No, it's not a Friday. Good observation.
Due to sports scheduling, we'll be starting at 2pm on Saturday.
Not sure what we're playing, or what we're eating, but there are groanings of zombie withdrawal.
No gaming this Friday due to previous engagement, Man Food Night. We'll resume next week.
Homework for this weekend:
Decide which day, Friday or Saturday, will work best for you personally, and what date you would be able to start a Descent Mega-Campaign. E-mail this information to me at cchollaway@live.com. I will be compiling a super-technical database, parsing the results, reconfragulating the jagenhouser, and submitting the final analysis to Mr. Wetzel. So do it!
In observance of Mother's day, game night will not be held this Friday at the Hollaway house.
The Descent campaign draws nigh. We should probably start assembling Friday and Saturday groups and getting schedule issues worked out where that is concerned.
In honor of the upcoming movie, we will be playing Marvel deckbuilders, with a side of Magic.
Still torn between having pulled pork sandwiches, or build your own heroes, in keeping with the theme.
A twist of magic...
Or... Magic, and Italian Twists courtesy of Nog.
Yeah. That sounds better.
In their insolence, mortals have forgotten the old ones, the slumbering forces that once commanded fear and respect in equal measure. The madness and destruction that have been sealed away for untold ages have begun to spill back into the world.
We must stop it. We must stop them. They must not be allowed to awaken.
Sooooo... we're playing Elder Sign this Friday. And eating spaghetti, because, tentacle.
Sides and dessert welcome as always.
It's going to be a good Friday this week... The Goodest! That can mean only two things.
Zombies, and deviled eggs.
We'll do a ham, and the eggs. Any other appropriately (ir)reverent side dishes are welcome.
Zombie games will be supplied mainly by the Wetzels.
Epic play.
No, it's not a staged production of Homer's Oddessy, but it should be nearly as sweet.
Descent... descends... upon us this Friday at the usual time. One or two quick sessions of Epic play depending on how quickly the first one goes. Overlord to be announced.
Marinated oriental beef and stir fried vegetables are on the menu. Sides or desserts are welcome.
A new miasma settles over the land, the stench of smoke and sulfur permeates everything. The cries of the innocent are drowned out by the screeching of... dragons. The lands of Tarkir beckon, and intrepid Planeswalkers gather to descend on a land ripe for conquest.
In other words, it's pre-release time! We need to practice for Saturday!
Mystical, magical mayhem will rule the evening, tempered only by the south of the bordery goodness that is enchiladas. Bring your decks, but be prepared to draft cubes to hone your limited pool skills.
Sharpen your swords, don your shields, and gird your loins. Prepare thyself, for the darkness descends, and the kingdom must be brought back into the light.
In other words, we're playing Shadows over Camelot on Friday at 6.
And we're eating steak, because KNIGHTS EAT STEAK, that's why.
Side dishes would be appreciated.
Sorry for yelling.
Descent was awesome. It was not the length of session that one would wish for on a weekly basis, and we got our butts kicked, but it was still awesome.
Rumors abound of a campaign of ridiculous proportions, which is intriguing, to say the least. We shall discuss it further when the rumors are substantiated.
This Friday, let us get back to our roots. The core foundation of the group is the MTG players, and the expansion players were drawn in by the other deck builders. Let there be both!
There should be food, too.
That is all.
That's right. I said the 28th.
But that's not a Friday! You exclaim.
Dang right, it's not a Friday. It's Descent day. And for Descent day, we need to be to bed early the night before so we can be prepared to wreak havoc on whatever adventures the Overlord and his nefarious expansions have in store for us.
Sorry, Jesse. There is still some 'not Kool-Aid' in the fridge to dull the pain.
And there will be burgers. Oh yes, there will be burgers. Side salads and such would be acceptable bring-alongs, as would desserty/snackish finger-foods that are dungeon-crawler friendly.
Event time is set for Noon until whenever. Main table reserved for Descent, but attendance and character rotation may lend themselves to a secondary table of gaming goodness.
Zombie overload!
We've been playing quite a few complex setup board games the last few FNG sessions. Not that they're less fun, but the setup time can detract from the enjoyment in a limited time session.
I propose two tables of deckbuilders, and I guess some preparation of pork loin.
